How to Prepare Your Home for a Deep Clean

Deep clean vs regular cleaning
A regular domestic visit keeps on top of day-to-day mess. A deep clean targets built-up grime: limescale in bathrooms, grease behind appliances, tile grout, skirting boards and areas that routine visits skip.
Preparing your home properly means our cleaners spend their time on intensive work rather than sorting clutter — and you see better results in the same visit.
What to do before we arrive
- Declutter surfaces in kitchens and bathrooms so we can reach sinks, hobs and baths
- Clear floors where possible — toys, laundry baskets and bags slow detailed vacuuming
- Note any fragile items or rooms to avoid in your booking notes
- Ensure we have parking or access instructions if you will not be home
- Ensure standard cleaning products are accessible at the property
Products to have on hand
At minimum: multi-surface cleaner, bathroom descaler, glass cleaner, floor solution suited to your surfaces, microfibre cloths and a mop. For kitchens with heavy grease, a degreaser helps.
Tell us about sensitive surfaces — marble, untreated wood or specialist worktops — before the visit so we use appropriate products you provide.
What our deep clean covers
- Descaling taps, showerheads and bathroom fittings
- Scrubbing tile grout and sanitising touch points
- Cleaning behind movable appliances where access allows
- Washing internal window frames, sills and skirting boards
- High-reach dusting and detailed kitchen/bathroom work
After your deep clean
Many clients book a deep clean once or twice a year, then switch to fortnightly domestic maintenance to keep the standard. Spring cleans, post-renovation tidying and pre-party preparation are all popular reasons to book across KT, TW, SW and SM postcodes.
