How Long Does a House Clean Take?

Why duration matters more than a fixed package price
Prime Crown charges by the hour, so the quote is “how long will this take?” rather than a one-size package. That keeps a studio from subsidising a five-bed house — and it is why the public quote asks for rooms, add-ons and frequency.
Regular domestic and office cleaning starts from £20 per hour. Deep cleaning starts from £22 per hour. End of tenancy cleaning starts from £26 per hour. The final total is hours × that rate, after any frequency discount.
Typical regular domestic visits
- Studio or 1-bed flat: about 1.5–2.5 hours
- 2-bed flat: about 2–3 hours
- 3-bed house: about 3–4.5 hours
- Larger family homes: 4–6 hours, sometimes a pair of cleaners
When it takes longer
First visits, pet hair, heavy limescale, oven interiors and end-of-tenancy inventories add time. A deep clean is not “the same checklist, slower” — it covers behind appliances, grout, high-reach dusting and descaling that fortnightly visits skip.
End of tenancy jobs in Kingston and Surrey often need a full day on a 2–3 bed rental because clerks check ovens, cabinets and bathrooms in detail. We confirm an estimate before we start so you are not surprised on move-out day.
How to get an accurate time (and quote)
Use the online quote with your postcode and room counts. If the property is unusually large, recently renovated, or has not been cleaned in months, say so in the notes — we would rather book enough hours than rush the checklist.
